Details
Another set of ponies introduced in 1986-7 were the UK's very own 'original' ponies.  There were four exclusives in total, Gypsy, Snowflake, Honeycomb, and Hopscotch, and of the four Gypsy was to become the hardest to find and most sought after. Along with this set came re-issues of Posey and Cherries Jubilee and it is probable that the alt pose versions of Applejack and Bow Tie were also re-released in this year (See below image).
Gypsy was another UK enigma, being that she is the only  unicorn sold before 1987 across the whole globe which does not have a different streak of colour in her mane. She also has white freckles on each cheek, as does Snowflake. Snowflake too is a pony who failed to follow the traditions set down by her American predecessors because she is the only non-rainbow earth pony of her time to have a glittery symbol.
Hopscotch and Honeycomb both followed the conventions but Honeycomb is worth noting for her remarkable similarity to Surprise, the only notable differences being the symbol & the fact she does not have curly hair. Oddly, in the UK Factfile, she is pictured as a unicorn but as can be seen by the picture she is a pegasus.

This is from the 1986 insert. As can be seen, Cherries Jubilee and Posey were officially rereleased with Gypsy and her friends but it seems likely Bow Tie and Applejack also had a reissue in this year.
The Jewellery set also pictured was issued separately in the same year.

UK Bow Tie MOC. I have included this image on this page in order to demonstrate the design of card on which Gypsy and her set were issued.
