Non-Beddy Bye Eye Babies

Details
Whilst the USA were being introduced
to the concept of Beddy Bye Eye Babies, the UK had four of the same baby
ponies
created in ordinary baby form. Out
of the six BBE babies, the existance of only four can be confirmed. These
were Baby Gusty, Baby Heart Throb, Baby Lickety Split and Baby
Ribbon, and each came with the variety of accessories given to the
BBE ponies in the United States. None are common second hand. Despite being
regular
baby ponies, three of them had undeniable characteristics that indicated
that their mother was a So-Soft Pony. Babies Gusty and Ribbon each
did not have the classic glittery unicorn symbol, instead it was painted
on, like So-Soft Gusty & Ribbon. Baby Heart Throb's symbol is
simply threewingless stars, and only So-Soft
Heart Throb's symbol
mirrors this design. Baby Lickety Split, being that she was sold
in Baby Blossom's pose hadd the characteristic early ponies in that
mould all had -
three white freckles on her nose.
Note that adult Lickety Split did not have freckles in any form.
The above extract taken from the 1986 insert shows the four baby ponies
and indicates that their accessories matched those given to their American
Beddy-Bye Eye counterparts, though a MIB one has not yet been found to
prove this.

Thanks to Claire for the above scan, taken from the back of Baby Heart
Throb's box. As can be seen from this scan, the *Non Beddy Bye Eye Babies*
as they are known, are really *Play and Care Set Babies* like Baby Applejack
from the year before. Click on the image to view full size (it is another
very large file and may take time to download).
